John Bergano, the event coordinator at Yamashiro Hollywood called me recently (as I am on their preferred vendor list for wedding photography) and wanted to hire me to shoot new web and advertising images for the restaurant – so of course I jumped on it, as Yamashiro is a stunning wedding venue.  The twist was, he also wanted to rent a photo booth for his New Years event.  Bingo, one stop shopping – my company, LA Pix Photo Booth, provided an awesome green screen photo booth rental package and I did all the event photography.  The restaurant looked stunning decorated for the New Years festivities and I was also treated to a beautiful Los Angeles sunset  - I couldn’t have asked for better conditions.  Enjoy the images.

Linda and Mike got hitched in Malibu at the beautiful and quaint Inn of the Seventh Ray.  It was an honor capturing the night for these two amazing people.  Both of them have amazing souls – and I’m proud to say that this night I was more than a photographer – I was also a friend.  It was a beautiful night, with twinkling lights, excellent food, amazing dancing, and lots of love from a large group of family and friends.  Love and happiness!  You guys are the best of the best.

Another wonderful wedding at Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood.  Suzy and Harry thank you for the opportunity to shoot your wedding, I’m a lucky guy… being present for such a beautiful and touching ceremony even with a camera to my eye – it still finds a way to seep into my soul.  This wedding takes the cake for having the funniest group of friends in one place at one time – quite literally.  Too much fun… Wishing you all the best!!

Jeff and Stephanie were married at the Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood last weekend.  It was a beautiful small ceremony in the manicured garden courtyard, which during the winter, is tastefully covered.  As expected – the words were eloquent, touching, and spiritual.  Jeff and Stephanie put a lot of hard work into their own wedding and the decorations and party favors were just downright playful and creative gems.  Photographing this wedding was a blast.  Top hats, canes, and masquerade masks came out harkening back to the golden age of cinema and as the Yamashiro Restaurant sits perched above Hollywood and the Magic Castle – the night felt like stepping back into the bygone era of the starlets.  To view all the photographs from Jeff and Stephanie’s wedding please use this link.  Congrats!

I spent the weekend at a friends 50th birthday party up in Mammoth Lakes, CA.  Do you like to ski, snowboard, hike, or fish in Southern California? Then I’m sure you’ve heard of Mammoth Mountain.  Well – did you know there is a small, beautiful, rustic summertime wedding venue to get married at in Mammoth?  The Twin Lakes Forest Chapel is across the footbridge from the Tamarack Lodge.  My wife and I think “The Lakefront Restaurant” inside the lodge is one of the finest places to dine in all of the Mammoth Lakes area.  The historic lodge is intimate and charming – we’ve sat fireside many times after dinner enjoying a game of chess and chatting.  There is ample lodging for guests either at the Tamarack Lodge or in town at the Juniper Springs Lodge, The Westin, or in The Village.  As I own a condo in Mammoth, I am happy to be your wedding photographer and will work as a local.

A rooftop wedding at the Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood. It was a beautiful intimate affair. Set right at sunset, the clouds made for a dramatic sunset, perhaps trying to outdo the bride and groom. But to no avail, Natalie and Sergio were fantastic.

Mike and Kathy got married at the Ebell of Los Angeles in 2007.  Also known as the Ebell Theatre (as it has a 1,200 seat auditorium), this 75,000 sq. foot wedding venue is a historic gem on Wilshire Boulevard in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles.  It is an architecturally stunning venue with a beautiful courtyard for an outdoor ceremony and the adjacent detailed ballrooms are spacious enough to accommodate larger wedding parties.  My wedding photographs of the Ebell of Los Angeles give you a sense of mood and style that a classic wedding venue can impart on your special day.  For further information on the Ebell of Los Angeles, visit their blog.
