Another wonderful wedding at Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood.  Suzy and Harry thank you for the opportunity to shoot your wedding, I’m a lucky guy… being present for such a beautiful and touching ceremony even with a camera to my eye – it still finds a way to seep into my soul.  This wedding takes the cake for having the funniest group of friends in one place at one time – quite literally.  Too much fun… Wishing you all the best!!

It was a pleasure photographing Esther and David’s wedding.  It’s always a thrill seeing a couple surrounded by loving friends and family.  Esther knows how to throw a party and it was evident that everyone present was enjoying themselves – in fact, the dance floor was barely empty all night long.  Congrats!

Joy and Mike’s wedding at last!  What a terrific wedding, was great seeing two big families come together.  One of those families also being mine, what a treat.  And wow, there was a lot of people in attendance – good thing the setting was stunning and had plenty of space.  Now technically this was a backyard wedding, but it didn’t feel like it out amongst the giant oaks and the massive lawn.  The home sits on an amazing piece of property and made for a beautiful backdrop as the day slipped into night.  Joy really did an amazing job with all the details, all the hard work really made for a sweet wedding experience.  Congratulations to you and Mike, wishing you love and happiness!!  Use this link to see the full set of images from Joy and Mikes wedding.

Had a great time this weekend shooting cousin Joy’s engagement party at George’s house.  Man that pork was good George!  I’m saddened that I didn’t bring any home for sandwiches the next day.  However, there were lots of family and friends in attendance, the bubbly was poured, and it was a wonderful evening.  Can’t wait for the wedding next year.  In the meantime I think I’ll just sit on the couch like Jacob and wait around. Although I heard rumors of pending nuptials floating on the soft summer breeze.  We shall see!

Jeff and Stephanie were married at the Yamashiro Restaurant in Hollywood last weekend.  It was a beautiful small ceremony in the manicured garden courtyard, which during the winter, is tastefully covered.  As expected – the words were eloquent, touching, and spiritual.  Jeff and Stephanie put a lot of hard work into their own wedding and the decorations and party favors were just downright playful and creative gems.  Photographing this wedding was a blast.  Top hats, canes, and masquerade masks came out harkening back to the golden age of cinema and as the Yamashiro Restaurant sits perched above Hollywood and the Magic Castle – the night felt like stepping back into the bygone era of the starlets.  To view all the photographs from Jeff and Stephanie’s wedding please use this link.  Congrats!

This Saturday I met Andrea and her daughter Nicole for a great portrait session at Douglas Park, in Santa Monica.  It’s a fun park with lots of families enjoying themselves  around the meandering waterways and a duck pond with a gaggle of bread loving hungry mallards.  I’ve shot portraits and a birthday party of Nicole’s previously, she is wonderful child to work with (hard to even call it work really) and such a sweet beauty.  Then again, pictures are worth a thousand words.  Thanks Andrea!  To view the entire portrait session use this client viewing and ordering link.

This weekend I photographed Jeff and Stephanie’s engagement session in Downtown, Los Angeles.  We walked around Olvera Street while a large celebration was happening.  It was crowded, music blasting, and the smell of good food was everywhere – it was quintessential LA.  We then walked over to Union Station to take some more photographs.  Union Station is simply beautiful, that place always amazes me – plus, how cool are those large old chairs?  It was a blast hanging out with Jeff and Stephanie and what would you know… we made some great images too.

I spent the weekend at a friends 50th birthday party up in Mammoth Lakes, CA.  Do you like to ski, snowboard, hike, or fish in Southern California? Then I’m sure you’ve heard of Mammoth Mountain.  Well – did you know there is a small, beautiful, rustic summertime wedding venue to get married at in Mammoth?  The Twin Lakes Forest Chapel is across the footbridge from the Tamarack Lodge.  My wife and I think “The Lakefront Restaurant” inside the lodge is one of the finest places to dine in all of the Mammoth Lakes area.  The historic lodge is intimate and charming – we’ve sat fireside many times after dinner enjoying a game of chess and chatting.  There is ample lodging for guests either at the Tamarack Lodge or in town at the Juniper Springs Lodge, The Westin, or in The Village.  As I own a condo in Mammoth, I am happy to be your wedding photographer and will work as a local.

Jeff and Lena were married in Marina Del Rey at Shangai Red’s. The setting was beautiful, right along side the harbor – boats passing by, the sun dipping into the ocean. This couple are good friends of mine and I couldn’t have been more honored photographing their wedding.
